Dear Friends,
We’ve taken time to reflect on what the future may hold for Sunday Friends families in light of the recent election. While the road ahead may be uncertain, one thing is clear: kindness must guide our way forward.
Sunday Friends began with a simple yet powerful vision—a mother, Janis Baron, wanted to teach her children about giving back, sparking a movement of kindness that continues to grow. Now, more than ever, we need to lean into this mission, standing together to strengthen the community Janis set in motion.
Our families need to know that we are united with them, ready to face any challenge together, committed to placing a high priority on everyone’s safety. Many of you have built personal connections with our families, sharing in their victories and supporting them through hard times. Let’s continue to walk beside them, demonstrating our commitment to their journey toward self-sufficiency and showing them they are never alone.
Sunday Friends will remain a beacon of hope, empowering families, including immigrant families, with the love, respect, and resources they need to thrive. Together, we can create a warm and supportive environment where families feel they truly belong. By staying attuned to their voices, we can adapt and respond to their needs through whatever challenges come next. And no matter how difficult the path, we will continue to open doors for families—doors that might be closed elsewhere.
We are profoundly grateful for each of you in our community of supporters. Your dedication will be essential in providing Sunday Friends families with the care and encouragement needed to move forward.
