Lidia originally discovered Sunday Friends through one of her neighbors, and was interested in the wide variety of classes and advocacy programs that Sunday Friends provides combined with an opportunity to earn points and shop at the store of support—a huge relief to her and her family at the time. Sunday Friends has truly changed Lidia’s life for the better as it became a learning experience where she grew more confident, capable, and further developed professionally. Now, as a Case Manager, Lidia describes it as “living my dream”—helping others, building meaningful connections, and advocating for the Sunday Friends members. Lidia is motivated to continue learning and to be a voice for the individuals that Sunday Friends serves.
